Bangladesh Embassy in Uzbekistan celebrates 21st February of a different kind

21st February is celebrated with due dignity in Uzbekistan. Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Monirul Islam inaugurated the day in the morning by lowering the national flag at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tashkent. On this occasion Bangladesh Embassy and Uzbekistan State University of World Languages organized a joint event.

Ambassadors, diplomats, researchers and more than 300 students of various countries assigned to Uzbekistan attended the event. Apart from Ambassador Dr. Monirul Islam, Uzbek university professor Dr. Muhammed Chutpuletov and UNESCO representative Sara Nashad spoke at the event. Students from different countries including Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, India, China, Turkey sang songs in their respective languages. Bangladesh Embassy Counselor Nazmul Alam and other officials were present at the event.

Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Monirul Islam said, Multilingualism and multiculturalism should be expanded throughout the world to build an inclusive and sustainable society and promote world peace, progress and prosperity.
