Serajul Alam Khan was admitted to the DMCH with old-age complications on May 20. As his condition deteriorated, he was put on life support around 9:20pm yesterday, hospital sources said.
He was unmarriedwho had spent a long time in the United States, lived with his brothers in Dhaka’s Kalabagan area.
Although he never held a leadership position in the Jatiya Samjtantrik Dal (JSD), he was known as the spiritual leader of the party. To his followers, he was “Dada Bhai”.
As he never publicly took action and worked behind the scenes, he was known as the “Mystery Man” in the country’s political arena.
