NSNEWS ONLINE DESK: Elon Musk debuted on Friday the first images of his Tesla Roadster that SpaceX will send to Mars — so perhaps he might be irked that the media appears to be rather more fixated on a different shot that appeared to show he and former girlfriend Amber Heard are reconciling.
Musk and Heard — the ex-wife of Johnny Depp — were spotted emotionally kissing goodbye as they left a Los Angeles restaurant on Thursday.
This isn’t the first time the former couple has spent time together after their breakup.
As we reported, they were also spotted having breakfast together in LA last month.
Page Six exclusively revealed Heard and Musk were dating last spring, when they were spotted together at Miami’s Delano Hotel, shortly after she divorced Depp.
But Heard and Musk split in early August, saying the “distance has been really tough on our relationship because we haven’t been able to see each other much.” Musk then told Rolling Stone that he had “been in severe emotional pain” following their breakup, explaining, “I was really in love, and it hurt bad. Well, she broke up with me more than I broke up with her, I think,” he said at the time, adding, “It’s so hard for me to even meet people, I’m looking for a long-term relationship. I’m not looking for a one-night stand. I’m looking for a serious companion or soul mate, that kind of thing.”
Reps for both didn’t immediately get back to us, but sources insisted the pair remain “just friends.”
