Father, daughter with special needs killed in Thanksgiving Day fire at Bronx apartment building, 2 others critical

A 60-year-old man and 20-year-old woman died in an early Thanksgiving fire in the Bronx.

A father and his daughter with special needs were killed on Thanksgiving when a blaze broke out in their Bronx apartment — while two others in the unit were hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said.
Perfecto Aramboles, 60, and his daughter,

Odalys Aramboles, 22, died in the inferno that ripped through their second-floor abode in the five-story building in Mount Hope around 5:30 a.m., according to the FDNY and NYPD.
The young woman was taken to Bronx Care Health System, and the father to St. Barnabas, where both died from their “crucial injuries,” cops said.
The man’s wife, Lorenza Suarez, 63, and her daughter, Rosanna Suarez, 43, remained in critical condition at Jacobi Medical Center, according to police.
“That was horrible what happened,” neighbor Lucy Lopez told The Post. Two other fire victims, a 62- and 63-year-old woman, are listed in critical condition. The cause of the early-morning fire was not immediately known.
“She [Odalys] always used to take her to the bus in the front. I would see her every day and she would say hi to me. She would tell my daughter, ‘God Bless Her.’”
Lopez said she smelled smoke and heard screaming just before 5:30 a.m.
“Rosanna was crying too much. She was crying,” the distraught neighbor said.
“She was screaming, ‘Help!’ She was screaming so much. It was horrible to witness.”
A dozen units with 60 FDNY fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene of the blaze on Harrisoল
Avenue near West Tremont Avenue, fire officials said.
