Kyle Rittenhouse hit with slew of charges in shooting deaths of two protesters
Ns News Online Desk: The teen vigilante who allegedly gunned down two Black Lives Matter protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was hit with a slew of charges on Thursday.
Kenosha County prosecutors charged Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, with one count each of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide and one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, court records show.
He was also charged with two counts of reckless endangerment, and with possessing a dangerous weapon as a minor.The teenager from nearby Antioch, Illinois, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting that led to the deaths of 26-year-old Anthony Huber, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, a dad to a young daughter.
The lone shooting victim to survive the bloodbath has been identified as Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, a volunteer medic for Black Lives Matter protests in Milwaukee over the summer. The gunfire erupted Tuesday, during protests over the police-shooting of Jacob Blake.
Rittenhouse is being held at a Lake County juvenile detention facility. He is due to appear in court on Friday morning to face extradition to Kenosha.
