President George H.W. Bush dead at 94
Ns News Online Desk: George Herbert Walker Bush — the 41st president of the United States — died on Friday night at age 94. President Bush, a World War II naval pilot and Texas oil tycoon, was announced dead in a statement by his office.
“He was more than a great man; he was a good man,” Bush’s grandson George P. Bush wrote on Twitter. “His courage was matched by his compassion; and his dedication to country was equaled only by his devotion to his family.” Bush served two terms as vice president under President Reagan and served one term as president from 1989 to 1993. He also served as the CIA director in the ’70s. His death comes just months after his wife, Barbara, died on April 17 at the age of 92.
He is survived by his five children, 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
