Peskov claims that Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine is proceeding according to pre-determined goals and plans. Dmitry Peskov gave an interview to CNN’s Christian Amanpore on the 26th day of the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
At one point in the interview, Amanpore asked if Peskov was sure that Russian President Putin would not use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
In response, Putin’s spokesman said, “We have a policy on the security of the country, and it is clear. You can read about the reasons for the use of nuclear weapons. So, if it poses a threat to our country, it could be used (nuclear weapons) in line with our policy. “
