US President Trump tweets post-impeachment meme to supporters: ‘They’re after you’

Ns News Online Desk:Ns News Online Desk: President Trump on Wednesday tweeted a cryptic meme after House Democrats voted to impeach him, suggesting they’re not out to get him — they’re actually after his followers.

Trump tweeted the meme after he held a raucous campaign rally in Michigan, at the same time House Democrats voted in favor of two articles of impeachment, charging him with using his office for personal gain and obstructing their investigation into him. The meme shows a black-and-white photo of Trump seated in a chair and pointing directly into the camera.

“In reality they’re not after me. They’re after you,” a message on the top of the photo reads. “I’m just in the way,” is written on the bottom.

At his rally, Trump told the crowd the Democrats were trying to “nullify the ballots of tens of millions of patriotic Americans.” “The do-nothing Democrats are declaring their deep hatred and disdain for the American people,” the president lashed out. “This lawless partisan impeachment is a political suicide march for the Democratic Party,” he said.
