MHTC Strengthens Bilateral Healthcare Ties through Strategic Networking in Dhaka
In a significant move to bolster medical tourism and bilateral cooperation, the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) hosted a high-profile networking session titled “Malaysia Healthcare Week: Your Access to Trusted Malaysian Healthcare” at the Renaissance Hotel in Gulshan on April 9, 2026.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Bangladesh Outbound Tour Operators Association (BOTOA), served as a strategic platform to connect Bangladeshi citizens with Malaysia’s world-class medical ecosystem. Representatives from five of Malaysia’s premier hospitals showcased their cutting-edge technologies, specialized clinical expertise, and modern infrastructure.
A key highlight of the session was the announcement of exclusive benefits tailored for Bangladeshi patients. These include discounted treatment packages, online specialist consultations, streamlined visa assistance, medical invitation letters, and logistical support such as complimentary translation and airport pick-up services.
Distinguished guests, including Mr. Lokman Izam Abd Aziz, Vice President of MHTC, and Mr. Syed Golam Mohammad, President of BOTOA, emphasized that this initiative transcends a one-time event. It marks a long-term commitment to fostering “Knowledge Sharing” and “Health Tech” exchanges between the medical fraternities of both nations.
MHTC representatives underscored the vital role of the media in raising health awareness and ensuring that patients have access to transparent, reliable information. The evening concluded with a pledge to deepen the brotherhood between Bangladesh and Malaysia through continuous collaboration with the Bangladeshi government and local medical professionals, ensuring that the people of Bangladesh can seamlessly access the best in Malaysian healthcare.
