However, Internet service will remain closed. All Assam Students Union (AJSU) announced the Satyagraha for 3 days. The Naga Students Federation (NSF) has called for a 6-hour shutdown on Saturday.Thousands of Muslims in Assam took out a rally on Friday in protest against the citizenship law. However, Delhi Police detained 42 students of Jamia Millia Islamia University.

The United States, Britain, and Israel have issued travel advisories for their citizens because of the ongoing protests in the Northeast. The US Advisory says that it has temporarily postponed the official visit to Assam.
The railway runs special train for passengers
Railways have run special trains for stranded tourists and travelers in Guwahati. These trains will transport passengers to other safe stations in the state, from where they will be able to leave for their home. Public Relations Officer of North-Eastern Frontier Railway gave this information. However, a special train was also run between Furkating and Dibrugarh on Friday.
